Financing
Postsecondary education is a large investment. Under the administration of the financial aid officer, CADH has several payment options available:
ONTARIO STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
OSAP is a program funded by the provincial and federal governments the the National Student Loans Service Center. OSAP is a needs-based program. This means that it provides loans,grants,scholarships and bursaries based on a formula that compares your educational costs to expected contributions from your parents or your spouse/partner (if applicable) and your own income and assets. OSAP provides eligible students with financial assistance to help them pay for their tuition, books, mandatory fees, living costs and transportation. Loans,grants, scholarships, and bursaries are all administered through a single application. STUDENTS FROM OUTSIDE ONTARIO
Students who are from outside of Ontario may be eligible for loans, bursaries and grants which are administered by Student Financial Assistance Offices in the individual's province. THE LIFELONG LEARNING PLAN:
WITHDRAWALS FROM RRSP (REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLANS)
The Canada Revenue Agency Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows you to withdraw amounts from your RRSP'S to finance education for you , your spouse (or common law partner). You may withdraw up to $10,000 per year to a maximum of $20,000. For more information visit the Canada Revenue Agency website at: www.cra-ac.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/rrsp-reer/llp-reep/menu- eng.html. You may also wish to speak with our financial aid office.
MONTHLY PAYMENT PLANS
Monthly payment plans can be arranged through our admissions office. There is no credit check or co-signor required. Furthermore, there is no interest applied to the outstanding balance.
REGISTERED EDUCATION SAVINGS PLANS
You may use funds from a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) if you have been named a beneficiary under a family member's plan. You are encouraged to contact the financial institution holding the plan. Speak with the financial aid office at CADH. EMPLOYMENT ONTARIO
The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) in Ontario administers programs that help students who are presently unemployed and have qualified for unemployment insurance. Please speak with the financial aid office for more details regarding such programs.
