Understanding the Implementation Phase After Dental College

In the eyes of many clients, it is the next phase of treatment that is the most relevant during the visit with the dental hygienist.AAThis may be because of what happens during this phase.AAThe client is most impacted during this phase, known as the Implementation Phase, since they leave the clinical session with the dental hygienist with the outcomes from the visit, or a a?cleaner feeling moutha.
The Implementation Phase is the phase where the care plan is brought to life.AAAll elements discussed and agreed to by the client are fulfilled.AAClient needs are addressed by executing the interventions planned.AASuch interventions are not limited to the actual scaling of the teeth (removal of hard deposit build-up known as calculus).AAOther elements such as the placement of sealants, application of fluoride and oral hygiene education (to name a few) are also part of the Implementation Phase of the Dental Hygiene Process of Care.
Prior to the start of treatment, it is necessary that the client is in agreement and consents to the treatment.AInformed consent is sought at each visit with the client, prior to the implementation of the treatment.
When care plans are implemented, it is required that previously established goals are evaluated and modified if necessary. Or, if the goals of an appointment are not met, modifications to the care plan are made, highlighting the new client goals.
