Scout’s Canada started a yearly initiative called the ?Good Turn Week to promote a better sense of community, friendship and compassion around the world (Scouts n.d.)?. This year, April 25 to May 3 is good turn week. During this time the scouts ask that you help others without expecting any compensation or recognition for the act of kindness.
This is a time to think of others and to give from the heart. Do something like hold a door open for someone, buy someone a cup of coffee and pick up garbage that may be lying on the floor. People across the country are helping in shelters, hosting food drives, collecting litter, providing support to the homeless and helping the elderly.
The students of CADH will be engaged in turns of kindness this month when they deliver oral health education programs, conduct oral health screenings, providing professional scaling and volunteering within the community.
