Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 3, 2026
The Canadian Academy of Dental Health and Community Sciences, a division of the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene Inc. (“CADH,” “we,” “us” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through our website, advertising, program inquiries, applications and related communications.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with CADH, we may collect:
- Contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address and postal code.
- Program and admissions information, including the program or intake that interests you, questions you submit, application details, educational history and communications with CADH.
- Student information required to administer enrolment, education, financial assistance, regulatory obligations and student services.
- Marketing preferences and records of consent, including whether you asked to receive information from us or later unsubscribed.
- Technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, referring source and interactions with our website or advertisements.
Please do not send sensitive financial, medical or identity information through a general website inquiry form unless CADH specifically requests it through an appropriate secure process.
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you complete a website form, Meta Instant Form, application or other document, speak with us by telephone, email or in person, subscribe to communications, or otherwise contact CADH. We may also collect information automatically through cookies, analytics tools, advertising technologies and server logs. Where permitted, we may receive information from service providers, advertising platforms, referral sources and other organizations involved in an application, enrolment or student-support process.
3. How we use information
CADH may use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide information about programs, admissions, start dates, financing and campus visits.
- Process and manage applications, enrolment, education, student services and regulatory requirements.
- Contact prospective students and applicants by email, telephone or text where permitted.
- Send marketing communications where we have consent or another lawful basis, and maintain suppression records when someone opts out.
- Operate, secure, analyze and improve our website, forms, programs and services.
- Measure advertising performance and understand which communications are useful.
- Prevent fraud, protect CADH and its community, comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand website traffic and measure advertising. These technologies may be provided by CADH or by service providers such as website, analytics and advertising platforms. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although some website functions may be affected.
Where CADH has the right to do so, we may provide contact information to advertising platforms such as Meta in order to create matched audiences, exclude existing students or contacts from campaigns, create similar audiences and measure campaign results. The platform applies its own matching and privacy processes, and its handling of information is also governed by its privacy terms. CADH does not sell personal information.
5. Consent and communication choices
When consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at info@cadh.ca. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent CADH from sending necessary service, application, enrolment or student communications.
6. When we disclose information
CADH may disclose personal information to service providers that support website hosting, forms, customer relationship management, communications, analytics, advertising, payment processing, information technology, professional advice and other business operations. We may also disclose information to government, regulatory, funding, educational or law-enforcement bodies when authorized or required, and in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction.
Service providers are expected to use information only for the services they provide to CADH and to protect it appropriately. Some providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction.
7. Retention and safeguards
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal, regulatory, contractual and operational requirements, and to resolve disputes. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and the reason it was collected.
CADH uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Access and correction
You may ask to access or correct personal information CADH holds about you, subject to applicable legal limits. You may also ask questions about our privacy practices or make a complaint. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Third-party websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices, services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
