It can be intimidating trying to get your oral health back on track, but our dental hygienists are dedicated to providing you with professional and thorough care to address all of your needs. The Canadian Dental Association provides many recommendations for keeping a healthy mouth, the first being to see a dentist regularly.
Many people make the mistake of waiting until they have a toothache or a dental emergency before they start attending routine dental appointments. However, keeping up with routine visits to a dental clinic can prevent any major issues from getting out of hand, which can easily happen when you don’t give your mouth the attention it needs. Our students, faculty, and staff are committed to providing optimal oral health care to individuals of all ages. Read on to discover our services and offerings so you can make your first appointment!
Get Familiar With the Appointment Process at Our Dental Hygiene Clinic
The first item on the agenda when you have an appointment at our clinic is to complete a thorough medical history and intra-oral exam. Our students, who are training for a dental hygiene career, and our educated staff have extensive practice with clients of all ages. They are here to provide you with a professional and supportive experience, free of judgment.
We ask that each client comes prepared with their family doctor’s name and contact information, as well as a list of any medical conditions or current medications if applicable. Based on the initial assessment and your medical history, our dentists and hygienists will work to determine what services you will need and the length of your treatment plan.
